Danielsun should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Oh dear, oh dear. Seems Alain Menu is considering a full-time switch to V8 Supercars. As reported by Autosport, if Prodrive don't get a deal together for next season (although he's sure they will) the arse says he'd love to do the V8 series in Oz.

Can we block legal immigrants, Mr Paterson?

From what I have heard, the man knows which pedal is the accelerator, and which one is the brake...which is a lot more than some Ford drivers...maybe he is just what Ford needs to pull their finger out...

Australia needs him, atm we only have Aussies and 'Zealanders in the series. Avesco are deadset on having 5 races overseas in up coming seasons, so they need some internationally recognisable names..

But arses like Alain Menu?! Mind you, Plato and Muller might enjoy the V8s enough to consider participating in the future.

Talking of overseas drivers, is Tomas Mezera now classed as an Aussie?

Would be rather interesting, however, to see how a current or former BTCC driver would do in V8 Supercars. Cleland was said to be considering it after Bathurst last year, but he's not had a good year in 2000. Face it, you can't exactly say that Menu has experience; he didn't even race last time out in the Densitron Commodore...

Hehehe....well im sure they enjoyed their trip...and they did make two friends, which i guess is a bonus: the two guys opperating the tractors at the bottom of the hill!

They did but a lot of people off side (well Plato did) and they were as slow as anything. I don't think they would be wanted, or welcome back in any great hurry..

I thought Menu did a great job and I would welcome him full time in the series with open arms...dont know what hes done in the past in the English super borers but he proved himself in a V8 very well.

Agree with that, just if Plato/Muller ever come back I'd be very very surprised...

The sweet smell of....

Son of Dan,

You have gone quiet on the virtues of taxi drivers from the old dart! Don't tell me they haven't passed the empirical test. Menu is welcome, the rest were pretenders of the first order. Thank heavens they were in Holdens for the most part. Call it natural selection.
