They were going past the rockface which was on their left. Where I was standing in the early pics is where you normal go as a hairpin left (or at least I did on Mid-Wales stages a few years ago).
If you have OS map 136 it's at 199872 approx. If the link works it's almost dead centre. Cars travelling from north to south.
Map Link

The selective was shortened due to the fact the ski slope was probably unpassable for the 2wd competitors (the plan was to go up it!), the marshalls made it in their LR Discovery though.

Cheers, its just im local and know the stage inside out.

There is no way lots of those cars would have got up the ski slope! I've failed a couple of times in the rallycross car, without the snow!

I was surprised when the Marshals said the route was to go up it, it's bad enough going down it.

Congrats to RoyG - looks like a top ten finish... (provisional results here http://www.endurorally.com/features.html) Always good to see rallycrossers doing well...!

Its a bit of a pity the ERA seem to have abandoned the idea of a national enduro championship in 2006. Reckon this branch of the sport could be massive if there were more than 2-3 events per year. The following are scheduled next year by the ERA:

Mar 10/11 Newton Abbot Audi South Hams MC
Apr 20/22 Rally Scotland RSAC Motorsport
Jun 17/18 EACS Midsummer Chelmsford MC

Anyone know of any others? (Welsh enduro?)

Just got back home after 4 days of brilliant fun on the event.

Tough or what?!! 1200 miles, 52 tests, loads of snow and ice in Wales.

Leonidas - thanks for the message, Tim & I ended up in 8th overall, which we were pleasantly surprised about, but absolutely delighted.

There are more events planned for next year, even though the Championship isn't happening. Keep an eye on http://www.endurorally.com for more info.

HRracing - can you PM me the pic please?

Cheers,

RoyG

Anuauto has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
