Motors TV last had the LMS rights in 2008. Eurosport doesn't show most of the races live. Besides, GT1 has a stream and live TV, so it can be done.

Thank you, am I wrong in thinking that some see this as a deliberate move by the ACO?
Anyway, reflecting on a number of earlier posts, I get the strong impression that some see a victory by Audi as a proof of their intrinsic strength (Vorsprung durch Technik) while a Peugeot victory is often dismissed as being a lucky one, and hardly a result of their own qualities.

You can find some numbers in http://www.lemans-series.com/fr/s52_...f&id_circuit=4
  • Free practice 3:
    • #9 Audi: 310 km/h
    • #7 Audi: 309 km/h
    • #8 Audi: 308 km/h
    • #1 Peugeot: 304 km/h
    • #2 Peugeot: 304 km/h
    • #4 Peugeot: 302 km/h
    • #3 Peugeot: 301 km/h
  • Qualifying:
    • #7 Audi: 307 km/h
    • #9 Audi: 307 km/h
    • #8 Audi: 307 km/h
    • #1 Peugeot: 303 km/h
  • Warmup:
    • #8 Audi: 310 km/h
    • #7 Audi: 308 km/h
    • #9 Audi: 307 km/h
    • #4 Peugeot: 299 km/h
  • Race:
    • #8 Audi: 313 km/h
    • #7 Audi: 313 km/h
    • #9 Audi: 311 km/h
    • #2 Peugeot: 290 km/h
Numbers for the other Peugeots are missing. I assume the trap speed during the race for #2 is wrong (too low). However the numbers of practice 3 show that Audi had a small top speed advantage.
Look at http://youtube.com/watch?v=m6nZ0cBBMJ8#t=1m04s Capello clearly pass Bourdais because of higher top speed.

With such speed differences AUDI should have WON the race !!!

Le Mans is not Spa. Le Mans is just another story.
908 was in Spa specs, while R15 was in LM ones. That's a great difference. So I think the story will be very different in Le Mans, in June.
The lion may lose its teeths. Especially under the rain...

Be careful the Audis don't struggle in same place

Did anyone else show up at Spa, apart from Audi and Peugeot, that is?

yes, we might want to discuss that the absolute slowest car in the field, (even slower than the three year old Paul Daniels Porsche) ended up on the podium in the FLM class. In other words, are these required additions to the field or just bringing in some money for the organisers?

so what did Audi want to test? To see whether their LM aero package would be slower than Peugeots HDF package? And for what purpose? To prove that Spa requires a HDF packages and not an LDF? I bet somebody could have told them that beforehand if they really had wanted an answer that question.
If Audi had won, would you have also called it a test race?

Massive attrition in the class. Only 3 FLM cars finished...

Yes the Kutemann car did not achieve its podium because of its own strength

There seem to have been fuel problems, which heavily affected the Corvette engines. Otherwise, they were a great nuisance during the qualifying session for the LMP class.

More proof to back what ALMS teams and and fans have said for months: that the FLM cars need more power, since they can hardly get out of their own way down the straights with the GT2 cars?

Unless they're planning to cut the GT2s back to 350-400hp next year, I don't really understand how the new LMP2s are going to be any less of a bother come next season. They're only supposed to have 420hp, and the FLM/LMPC cars already have 450hp.

If you remember, before the Porsche Spyders showed up, the GT1 Corvettes and Astons were routinely as fast as the P2 competitors and usually beat them soundly in races. Since GT2 is the new GT1 in ACO, will it really be surprising if the GT2s are similar in speed to the P2s next year?
