I went to Le Mans for the first time last week. Apart from the weather it was really great.

I particularly liked the night pictures, I did some long exposure shots at Le Mans in 1999 with some interesting results!

ditto, I only heard bit s of it on radio Lemans, so these were the first images I have seen. Especially liked the driver change/parking brake cable replacement of the leading entry in the bug category.

Glad you liked the pics. The bug belongs to a friend of ours who we drove down with. He only put it together again after the respray a few days before we left. The throttle cable jammed before getting on the ferry. He wired it open and drove it onto the boat with the clutch and in Cherbourg we got it fixed. What is the French for throttle cable is jammed?

Still, we got there in the end.

Stefan, have been off family camping so here is a late stab at the French mechanical question:

In France, perhaps, "mon cable de carbarateur est coincé ouvert, aidez-moi avant que le pauvre petit moteur explose!"

Here in Quèbec, it would probably be "colis de tabernac, mon pédal Ã* gaz est jammé au fond, vite vite, aide-moé avant que le moteur se mettre en petits miets!"

whatever you do, don't check my French spelling...
