A splash of red for FPR
A splash of red for Jason Bright at Bathurst
Thursday, September 22, 2005 A new colour will appear on Jason Bright's CAT FPR Falcon at the Bathurst 1000....Ford fans take note, because the colour is RED!! Ford Performance Racing (FPR) will unveil a new look CAT FPR Falcon at Bathurst this year, but all the Prodrive team will divulge at the moment is the colour that has been added - which as this image clearly displays, is red. Ford fans will have to wait until the first practice session at Australia's great race to find out what this is all about. According to CAT FPR Falcon driver Jason Bright, "With black, yellow, white and now red- my car is not going to be missed on the mountain this year," the 1998 Bathurst 1000 winner said. "I also didn't think I'd be racing in red again for a while," he added. FPR will compete in the team's third Bathurst 1000 on Sunday October 9, after having gained consecutive second places at Australia's most famous motor race in 2003 and 2004. CAT FPR Falcon driver Jason Bright was the last Ford driver to win the Bathurst classic at Mount Panorama in 1998. His FPR co-driver, David Brabham, won the event when it was a Super Tourer race in 1997. The team is doing all in its power to make it to that elusive top step of the podium this year, even if it means adding some red paint as a one off! Up to the minute updates will be available on this website throughout the during each day of the 2005 Super Cheap Auto Bathurst 1000. /ends. |

Well, folkes, the red is only a small outside square just to break the original yellow, black and white.

Hopefully, the stewards will confuse it for a Holden and send out a strategic safety car...

What color are the colors of team Britek ? maybe Fujitsu with some red colors will be on the FPR car for bathurst.
It would make sense to give Bright the 'Credit' he deserves though ! |

One wonders whether a scarlet-red Ferrari would be quicker than a Marlboro-red (well...orange) Ferrari.............
Maybe this is the beginning of a return to the old days, when the works Commodore's were blue, and when the factory Falcon's were red. |

Penzoil paint schemes always end up looking dead sexy, ala the Aussie race car and previous incarnations of drag car teams....
Above all too, its a brilliant product!!! |
