All set up quite nicely after FP3. Peugeot fastest. Toyota looking a little bit lost and the Porsches also looking a bit fragile.

Simmi - thanks for starting the thread. I've stuck it at the top.

Each practice session has a different story looking at the fast times.
Obviously some sandbagging going on

Glickenhaus has a top speed advantage, but it could just be a good tow. I haven’t looked at all the data yet, but they’ve had at least two laps with a top speed faster than the others.

Peugeot tops FP3! Ahead of a Ferrari and they were the only 2 cars below a 1:36. I expect most of the class to be in the 1:35's come qualifying in an hours time.

In practice it is clear that the Glickenhaus has a good Top Speed advantage - it wasn't jsut one or two laps.

I just wanted a chance to see all the cars for a turn or two, I understand you have to focus on the cars at the front in qualifying, but when they are parked please show the other cars!

Good and useful job again Adam, thanks. I cant remember if the rev limit is fixed by the regulation tho. From the on-board images I see Toyota hitting the 8K mark, Peugeot weel above in the region of 8,5k and Ferrari around 7,2k. Or may be what is shown on TV is not accurate? Would not be surprising…

For LMDh tech regs say this:

Merci beaucoup for the clarification tomcug. As to the max speed achieved, it seems the differences are now not the same as shown during practice. For instance #8: 315,8 and #4 Vanwall 305 kph.

LMP2 top speeds: first Vector Sport #10 with 296 kph, last… Inter Europol #34 doing 286 kph. May they've not received the confiscated parts at LM from Geneva?

I find strange things between the live timing and when the timing results are diplayed. May be Monza time is not the same as Paris'? Not talking about the live streaming which I find could be, may be and when possible, improved…Grande casino!

All the engines have different maximum revs. Power is then set through each car’s rev range and pretty similar for all. Apart from small BoP differences. So the max power is set at a specific rev, but I don’t know if the ref limit is. However, I suspect that in top gear they aren't near it - the power drops off and, if I remember correctly, the gear ratios are set for the season. Although abviously at a place like Monza they will be the closest to the limit.

Edit. Ah, I see tomcug gave them in IMSA. I guess the Porsche and the Cadillac are the same, or very similar, in WEC?

Bit of a shame, it would be interesting, but it doesn’t really make much difference.
