GT Rumors
I've just read in the latest issue of Autoweek where Pratt & Miller, constructors of the Corvette C5-R, are considering building a Caddy CTS-V based GT contender for 2004, as well as a Pontiac GTO (Holden Monaro) based GT or GTS contender for the same year. Perhaps both.
According to Autoweek, the Caddy GT car would not be factory backed, but the GTO-based car could be. Also, considering the C5-R is set to continue for the next few seasons, I would think the GTO would compete in the GT class instead of GTS. Interesting. -KM |

The LM pace car is the Seville, a much bigger front-drive sedan with a Northstar V8. The CTS is the new, smaller rear-drive car, based on the also new GM sigma platform. Standard engine is a 220-hp V6. The CTS-V will be powered by a version of the 5.7L 405-hp V8 used in the Corvette Z06.
