Of the current crop of F1 drivers .....
Who in your OPINION are the 10 most naturally gifted & talented ???
I can see this one is going to stir up a lot of disagreements for sure !!! Right, I'll start us off: 1. Kimi Raikkonen 2. Nick Heidfeld 3. Fernando Alonso (Too good to only be a test driver ?) 4. Giancarlo Fisichella 5. Jarno Trulli 6. Felipe Massa 7. Juan Pablo Montoya 8. Rubens Barrichello 9. Jenson Button 10. Mark Webber Let the arguments commence Last edited by Mark F1; 11 May 2002 at 14:51. |

I'm not going to bother with a top 10, as no-one will agree with anyone else.
All I do know is Nick is most certainly in the top 5. |

Giancarlo Fisichella 13. Augusto Farfus 14. Mario Haberfeld 15. Justin Wilson I felt like adding some who really should be in F1 to the bottom of the list. |

To exclude MS from a list of naturally gifted drivers is about as good a definition of denial as I can imagine!
One problem with a discussion of this nature is in your definition of gifted.... I was interested with Jaques' comments about the difficulty of campaigning a poor car - you tend to over-drive it - every single one of them can catch a silly slide (OK, Yoong excepted!) but that's not what it takes to make these cars go fast. |

In no particular order....
1. M Schumacher 2. Frentzen 3. Fisichella 4. Raikkonen 5. Heidfeld 6. Massa 7. Montoya 8. Button 9. Alonso 10. Villeneuve I don't believe drivers like Ralf, DC, Irvine, Trulli, Barrichello and Sato to be as good (in terms of natural gift and pure speed) as the 10 listed, but they are still excellent drivers. |
