Mr A should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Engineering Project

Hi Guys. I am just about to start a 3rd Year Uni project and have been given the freedom to design/improve anything on the rear chassis. It is supposed to be based on a f3 car and can be anything from wheel rims to suspension to exhaust outlets. Just wanted any ideas of what actually needs improving on the modern f1 cars so i won't repeat what someone else has done.

Cheers Alan

F1 are still peeing around with different exhaust designs, and unlike other aspects of the chassis teams are still changing and modifying majorly.

The exhaust outlet is most useful in F3, as you've got to make your own in competition. Last year there were a lot of different designs, but that was with them stoopid sidepods. I remember 1 top team's sidepod catching fire when the car stopped in pitlane.
