Funnily enough, the one thing I do mourn is the parade along the start finish straight of all the drivers on the back of open cars shortly before the race. That I used to love. But long gone now...
That is very wise of you to avoid it completely, I have had to attend, sometimes with six drivers, like herding grumbling cats.

I also used to enjoy presentation of the drivers before the race but it is progress, non?

I must admit i have not done the friday parade for many years now and like you i miss the presentation of the drivers on saturday morning, but i think that would probably clash with the meet so would prefer the meet these days

One year I found it very easy to move among the crowds at the parade.

Harsh - but fair !

Never done the drivers parade - usually because we have been on a tight work / school related timetable. Likewise the museum. Plan this year was to be down there Thursday leaving time for both - ah, the plans of mice and men.
