Excellent stuff Horndawg! I guess the depressing state of the ALMS and the difficulty accesing coverage for the LMS has me a bit out of the loop a bit this year.

There are now photos on the Official site: http://www.lemans.org/24heuresdumans...photos_gb.html

You might try the www.Lemans-store.com site, official store and all, but the site isn't loading right now so I couldn't check.

It certainly looks like it. (see the lack of louvers over the front wheels)

Anything to do with their cooling problems - does this help keep debris out of the air intakes?

It looks as though they've just covered them over.....

Better aero? It looks to the untrained eye to be a more slippery shape. However if cooling is an issue. covering the air intakes may not be the best move...

Must be an attempt to get more or less downforce (not sure how it would work). But it should not block the engine intake, the air flow should go over the suspension cover, and direct into the engine airtake.
But it could well solve the problem with rubber debris, which the 908 is infamous of picking up.

That was exactly my thought. Without that 'cooling' stop during the night for all 3 cars last year, #7 could well have won the race.....

Exactly!, Peugeot finely thought of an prober solution. But i never understand why Peugeot didn't investigate the Bentley's solution of the problem, which where that the mesh which stops the debris, was placed so, when opening the door, it could simply be scooped out!
