OK who on earth are asiatech?!
Yes i know all about them buying the ex pugeot(whish i could spell it!)engine program. They give away free engines to lower ranked teams, etc, etc, etc.
But WHY? How are they planning to make money?Has there ever been any word on them being backed by a manufacturer??Or are they just a bunch of RICH enthusiasts? |

Some sort of consortium of engine builders and engineers I think with some backing from other companies.

They have quite ambitious plans (don't they all!). They plan to enter F1 as a car & engine constructor. The deal they have with Minardi include's access to all data on the car in order to gain some experience of race-car dynamic's prior to launching their own team.
If they do intend to do this, it would make sense for them to buy Minardi at soem point, whether this will happen or not -who knows? |

Well, sounds about right. Although with Minardis links with Malaysia and South-East Asia, IMO Asiatech will be majorly linked to that team now. Expect a full business partnership to grow out of it.
