BTCC Brands Hatch 2008 Post 9

Hi everyone, I am brand new to this current forum, but that doesn't mean I'm new to marshalling. I've been doing it for about a year now, and have enjoyed every moment of it (so far).

I was, as I'm sure many other of you, at the BTCC at Brands on sunday. I just wanted to say a big thanks to everyone that helped me, especially Lucy and the other guy, who's name escapes me!! Haha.

Anyway, make this into a talk about the actual race if you want to but I just wanted to thank everyone, it only being my 3rd race meetig and all.

I watched it on the telly. When that Vectra smashed into the wall (I blame Plato for trying to get through a gap that clearly wasn't there) I started shouting for the wife to come in to the room.

"What!!" she enquired.

"You see that bloke, the first guy to get to the car, yes the guy in the orange and black VSCC overalls" I replied.

"Yes what about him?" she replied.

"That's Norman, I was on post 10 with him a while back" I said.

With that she mumbled something and went back to the kitchen. I don't think she was as impressed at me seeing somebody on the TV that I knew as I was.

Haha, thats too funny. There was soo much debris there it was unbelieveable.

we had about 15-20 people on post 9. It was soo crowded, some of the others wsent to thew other side of the track.
