Pleased with Ant taking the pole, some of the Audi folks acted like the weekend is already in the books even before it started.

The Lions won't go down without a fight for sure!

Judging purely on your profile piccy that makes you a Peugeot boy!

Seriously though I'm glad it isn't clear cut because it will be one of the most incident packed races for sure.

Yeah, but such that it would be faster now.

Just for reference, it looks like that LMP1 time corresponds to an average speed of 119.691-mph (1:31:736/3.050-mile lap).

I realise the diesels deserve (and get) all the headlines in LMP1, but hats off to OAK Racing and Guillaume Moreau. With the Lahaye injury, a hard crash at Spa, a factory fire, and reliability issues at Le Mans Nicholet and his team deserve a good run, especially after all the effort and kind deeds they put into the sport over the offseason. Only three seconds off the pace of the fastest diesel and in front of the Rebellion and Pescarolo cars. Great job, hope they keep it up during the race.

Looking forward to a great race tomorrow, looks mighty close between Audi and Peugeot as well as the usual drama in GTE.

Is it me, or did a 908 have a back fire on overrun at 1:18 in the first video, or is it a glitch in the video?

Either the 908 had a back fire on overrun in that video (the flames seem to have come out of the 908's exhaust) or it's some glitch in the video that transposed the exhaust flames from the LMP2 Oreca behind it on to the 908's tail, though don't the Nissan powered Orecas have side exhausts?

Is a backfire from a Diesel engine even technically possible?

It's obviously just a headlight reflection on the fin.
