I do wonder whether the loss if a sponsor is due to Loeb not driving? Disappointing news nonetheless.

Deeply disappointing that a package that includes some degree of Sebastien Loeb (even if he's not driving, his presence at the races should be highly saleable), and a Le Mans entry, combined with the more cost effective format of the shorter ELMS races can't be made to make financial sense.

Indeed more than disappointing, it's worrying, especially when you read this about Greaves' ELMS entry (admittedly from Autosport)

Hopefully Nissan will put in to give their GTA guys a bit of running before Le Mans in the Greaves car. Silverstone especially would make sense.

Worth mentioning is that Greaves was willing to bring all three of its P2s to Sebring if there was enough driver interest... and that only one Greaves car raced at Sebring.

30 cars, 10 LMP2, 3 LMPC, 10 GTE, 7 GTC.

LMP2: Thiriet/TDS Oreca, Greaves Zytek, Boutsen-Ginion Oreca, Murphy Oreca, Race Performance Oreca, Signatech Alpine Oreca, Jota Zytek, DKR Lola, Morand Morgan and Orex HPD

LMPC: Team Endurance Challenge x3

GTE: RAM 458s x2, AF 458s x2, JMW 458, IMSA Performance 911, Larbre Corvette, Prospeed 911, Proton 911 , Kessel 458

GTC: Kox Lamborghini, AF 458s x2, Autorlando 911s x2, Momo Megatron Audi, Ecurie Ecosse BMW

No major surprises, although still quite a few TBAs in the driver lineups, including quite a few LMP2s, (no drivers named so far at Greaves, and only one at Murphy, Morand & Orex) and somefairly significant GTE entries (2nd AF and JMW Ferraris, Larbre Vette, Prospeed 911) with no confirmed drivers listed yet.

Very healthy, especially compared to last year.

Looks like the fears of Loeb Racing's withdrawal causing some kind of domino effect on the LMP2 numbers were unnecessary.

Hartley is only confirmed for a couple of races and Le Mans afaik ..... but they had a 2nd driver signed up for awhile now . But Ive been asked not to say a word .

Is Loeb pulling outta the series or just Le Mans ?

The answer to the question about where Franck Mailleux will end up seems to be at Morand racing according to Laurent Mercier of E-I.

He'll do the ELMS test with them.

Entry list is up for the Ricard test next week as well- No surprises there apart from the Greaves Zytek and none of the GTC teams making the trip.

One extra entry in LMPC, from Algarve Pro Racing. E-I think they may be going to run a part-season in ELMS. If my rusty schoolboy French and Google translation are anywhere near the money, Nick Catsburg seems to have had a run in the car at Motorland Aragon earlier in the week...

I see Murphy will be absent . Not a good way to start the season , unless their testing someplace else . Always good to gauge the competition , imo .

Last year there were rumors of Marc VDS running a LMP2 with a GT3 derived BMW V8 in it. It hasn't come to fruition but the opportunity to build a car to those specs is still there...
