Interesting to compare the stints of the leading cars: http://fiawec.alkamelsystems.com/Res...actice%201.PDF

The Audis (Ultra and Hybrid) were able to post some 12 lap stints (remember that last year they only ran 11 lap stints during the race).

On the other hand, the longest stint from Toyota was a 10 lap, while Rebellion were able to achieve at least one 11 lap stint.

Don't know, but the team did get it fixed and it did turn laps in the afternoon session, so tub and engine were probably unaffected.

Honestly, I almost spit when I saw the GTE-Am Aston Martin 4th in overall GT (and ahead of its sister GTE-Pro car). Something is definitely wrong with the BoP of that car if its that far ahead of the rest of the GTE-Am field and up with the Pro cars

It's easy to pinpoint the BoP flaw with that car: it's called Allan Simonsen. Just as the BoP flaw in Blancpain with the BMW Z4s in recent races is called Maxime Martin.

It just makes me suspicious when the "year-old spec" car is just as fast as the current cars (esp. considering the real V8 Vantage GT2 last year was a brick). The front runners of GT-Pro have just as good drivers too!

The GTE-Am Vantage did get some of the upgrades of this year's car, but not all of them. The ACO allowed the same thing last year between 2011-spec and 2010-spec Vantages, that's why the Gulf Middle East Aston ran with paddleshifts (which weren't allowed under 2010 rules as far as I'm aware). So they may have sneaked some performance upgrades on the approved list, under the guise of reliability upgrades...

Actually I think it just shows us how much sandbagging is going on in GTE-PRo....We know the cars are significantly faster this year than they are last year..The Ferrari and Corvette specifically after their Sebring qualy showcase...The ultimate pace in GT is going to be around 3:56-3:58...The year old Aston is behind that kind of pace and I dont think it will go much faster. I think its a case of the other guys havent shown there cards.

Priceless! If that's how LMP2 is gonna look this year... Gulf Lolas managed themselves quite well today though, almost disappointing not to see them crashing every 5 minutes
