What the best game on your chosen platform?
Right I'll get the ball rolling. I've got a PS2 and there are really 2 games vying for the best on the console GTA3 and MGS2. My vote goes to MGS2 and heres for why.
Metal Gear Solid 2 combines stunning cinematics with outstanding gameplay and unbeleiveable graphics. Whilst some argue that it is too short, I have currently played the game through 6 times which encompasses nearly 80 hours of grade A game play. I have played all the main missions of GTA3 and thus completed the game. This took me around 40 hours and now I am bored of it. MGS2 is the best game I have ever played as an experiance, and I've played and loved Half Life. My question is does anyone think another game topples it on any other platform? |

Your a lucky guy living in the US. We don't get FFX until July, although I won't be buying it anyway. The whole series has always appealed to me about as much as putting my head in a vice!

my thoughts on the game. On easy level it's a bit brain dead, but later on, you will need to develop tactics to deal with certain foes, asgoing in all guns blazing will see you butchered like a stinking hog. |

PC:
Racing: GP2 (Still haven't got GP3, F12001 isn't great and I need a steering wheel to get maximum enjoyment from GPL) Sports: NHL 2002 (I love it) Action: Command and Conquer: Renegade (Great game but needs plenty to run it) |

PC: GPL, and hopefully in the next few months; GTA3, TOCA Racing Driver and Le Mans v1.5. Also check out Stronghold a great little medieval castle wargame - great fun for those non-driving moments.
f1manoz; not sure if they do it down under, but the Thrustmaster wheel (made to look like a Ferrari wheel with a yellow prancing horse) works well for GPL. No force feedback, but a good feel and here is priced about £40. |

MGS2 does seem to have a love or hate following. I didn't play the 1st until after I'd done the 2nd and thought the first was pretty rubbish compared to the second. I too am normally more of a driving freak. GP3 is the only game I've ever had which I'm still playing 18 months after release.

I do not play that much games but here are my favorites
Fallout 2,F1 Racing Simulation,Star wars Galactic Battlegrounds as for MGS2 I also played it until half but I just got bored with it,just as for pablo, the FMV spoiled it.I think MGS1 was better cuz it was the first time that they made such a game. I think that GP4 will be the best Racing game ever !! |
