The 15th Abingdon Motorsport CAR-nival.
The 15th Abingdon CAR-nival is a true Motorsport weekend held on the 11th & 12th June 2011. Based at the old Abingdon airfield just off the A34 South of Oxford.
It consists of a 2 Course Sprint running 150 cars, plus an Auto Solo on the Saturday, a 100 car Special Stage Rally over 80 miles on Sunday, and an off road event on both days. Marshals signing on for both days get free food on Saturday Evening!! All of these combine with a brilliant social atmosphere, a barbecue and beer tent on the Saturday night. Every year hundreds of competitors camp and caravan at the venue to enjoy the atmosphere. (Free from Friday - Monday) Food and toilets on site all week end. The event is organised by Abingdon Motorsport with the cooperation of many other motor clubs! Abingdon CAR-nival supports the following charities, Stowford House, and The Army Benevolent Fund. More details can be seen on the charities page of the event web site. All marshals will receive a thank you gift on the day, and there will be a very good marshals draw, that will include a hot air balloon flight. Sign on time for marshals 0700 - 0815 latest Saturday, 0630 - 0745 latest Sunday. Both days in or near the FDMC HQ Unit.
Thought my senior man would have told people when they confirmed their attendance but either some slipped through or he hasn't told them! See you there Dave. |

Thank You to all who turned out at the weekend.
The Stowfod Trophy this year was awarded to ALL the marshals. As there is only one pot marshals will recive a picture of it with their thank you email. |
