Procar at QR
After checking the Procar web site I noticed that round 8 on the 17/10 is still TBA. There was talk that this round was a toss up between Queensland Raceway and New Zealand. Given the current situation one would think there is no chance of the series going to NZ so what are the chances of it going to QR. With no Procar at Indy this year, I would be very disapointed if the series didnt venture north.

Proteams is just Boylo's name for his group that will run the Procar Champ Series for the next 10 years. SO nothing to huge in it except the outstanding fact that there is stabability back in the CHampionship that will see it become one of the best motorsport packages in the world

Off topic but relevant due to the TBA's,
Will the Dubai 24 Hour and/or the Taupo 1000km originally planned go ahead? |

Mallala would be great, Barbagallo would also be awesome.
Its very important though, that they visit QLD, a very important market and a good Procar market. Its sad that they wont be visiting Tassie though, they have had some huge crowds over the years. Just hope they can visit there in 2005 |

There is currently no arrangement for the Procar Series at Queensland Raceway in 2004.
The proposed date (preferred by Procar)is between Bathurst V8's and Gold Coast Indy. It seems there are quite a few senior CAMS Officials in Queensland that are working at Bathurst (?) and Indy (ok) that would like a little break in between. Also as promoters of the Procar event (QR), could not compete with the extensive (& expensive) advertising campaign for the Indy Ticket Sales. It takes more than diehard Procar fans to make a race meeting financially viable. Promotion of motor sport is risky business - just ask Ross Palmer's accountant |
