The ACO should well remember how many years Larbre/Chereau supported their race .

I dont understand how the ACO can take their free Le Mans by away from them , especially since the ACO made the rule . Is there something that says that a team has to attend all 5 rounds Graham please ?

Mariantic are reporting that Kaneko Racing has bought the ex-Terramos Courage LC70 and expect to do the AsLMS and hopefully Le Mans too .

Does Oreca have a mod kit for the LC70 ?

Would that be the one where he said that the ACO hadn't let enough French cars in, when everyone else in the world was saying that they had let in too many entries just because they were French at the expense of several strong cars?

THere is some clarification of entry instructions here including:

1) Manufacturers to be given priority
2) full season entries to ACO series to be given priority
3) there will be 2 reserve lists - LMP and GT and withdrawals will be replaced by the same type of car

I'm sure there's a rule stating that should they run out of reserves on one list, they would go to the other list for a replacement, it's just that they haven't told anyone about it yet.

According to a Q&A NISMO article on Endurance-Info.com, there are no plans to run the GT-R in any ACO regs races in 2010 (including Le Mans). Great shame. Of all the potential GT1 Le Mans entries, I was particularly looking forward to seeing the GT-R's there in June.

Ah......just clicked.....I think what the article implies is that we will not see an official factory team there, but that doesn't rule out one or more of their customer teams, does it.

I do love the ACO and their rule changes, perhaps the next rule will be that all british cars will require 3 wheels and three doors and be painted bright yellow with Totters Independent Traders on the side.

I suspect the news is embargoed. Endurance-Info.com are yet to carry the story and DSC are reporting just that AutoHebdo are reporting it. Assuming it's going to happen, we'll just have to wait for the official announcement.

Signature Racing will indeed apparently run a customer Lola-Aston. Aston Martin themselves will sit out the LMS to focus on the 2011 car, but might run the 2009 car at Le Mans only.
