ScuderiaV8 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

I had a look back through the DSC archive to the article announcing the sale of the Rollcentre Radicals and it mentions that it may be possible for Rollcentre to run the car for the new owner. I suspect that's what will happen, possibly with a team of Rollcentre and DAMAX personnel so that the new team can learn about the car.

I just took a look back at previous entry lists, and this is easily the lowest number of entries for "normal" 911s since 1992, when there were none. From '93 to '06 911s made up between 14% (2002 - 7 of 50 entries) and 25% (2000 - 12 of 48 entries). I didn't count the GT1s from '96 to '98 because even a dyed-in-wool 911-phile wouldn't consider them "proper" 911s.

This year 911s are only 7% of the entry. That's a massive drop. Even if the field was it's old size of 50 cars, they would still only represent 8% of the field.

The numbers reveal how huge the differences are for 2007. I've always veiwed 911s as boring to watch and listenb to, and too often filler for the most part, bar a few highly competitive entries. This year they've made room for more GT1s and LMP1s (yummy ) which to me are the real attraction.

Another odd thing...they have the numbers 83, 86, and 98 assigned to GT2 class entries and to GT2 class reserve entries...

Gounon will almost certainly be in a Courage .

There is talk about Romain Dumas driving for Pescarolo .

Karim Ojjeh has signed to drive for Barazi and brings along Gulf Oil .

Monteiro in talks with ASM .

Turner said he would drive for Team Modena , if they gat an entry .

I thought Konrad would have been looking for an entry ?

From what it says on DSC there where 76 applications, they go on to say that Tafel Racing and James Watt Automotive are 2 that missed out, anyone want added any more names to that list.

I reckon Chad are mighty ****ed off ..... only getting 1 car into the LMS and 7th reserve !!!

Glad to see Alphands C5R again , but I reckon PSI are ****ed to .

That Felbermayer/Proton might have been the works driven car of Leib , but no go either !!!

Gooing to be one hell of a battle ..... in all classes . Hope the Audi's and Pug's all go out in the first quarter ..... that would be a ballle then !!!

Turning down PSI's C6 for Alphand's C5 makes no sense to me. I thought Phillipe Tille owned PSI now, which would make them both French!

The non-inclusion of the possibly works-backed Felbermayer-Proton Porsche also makes little sense (as does no GPC) but who would you remove? The Seikel and 2nd Risi, maybe, but they were both auto-entries. Every other entry makes sense in that class. LNT deserves 2 for obvious reasons. Spyker for variety and pace.

Chad placed where they should have. What would give the ACO reason to believe they should be placed above GPC, F-P, JMB? Thierry Perrier and Ice Pol, maybe equal to Chad, but both have more LMS starts... They're damn lucky they placed ahead of Tafel. I guess non-ACO/FIA success means little to the ACO.

This is what GT1 fields should look like for every race.

Now if there were FOUR TV channels for the Race, One channel to cover each class.

According today's press release, Tomas Enge should drive for Aston Martin at Le Mans and Jarek Janis for Spyker. The only driver mentioned for Charouz's LMP1 Lola is Jan Charouz.
