Not the easiest of places to get to for collection if you have to park a car

This is just for pre-booked tickets, right? Not turn-up-on-the-day tickets.

I'm not very pleased to read this. Especially as a first-timer. But a successful weekend wouldn't be a successful weekend without some effort.

Is parking available on the spot or is that pre-order only?

I'm not sure these days. Not so long ago you could buy it on the day - even as late as about 2004 we were still buying garage tickets the day before the race.

In 2011 we stayed in a hotel in town and used the tram. Didn't really think it through and decided afterwards we wanted a parking pass too for flexibility. Bought one on the Thursday at the circuit.

If you can use the tram do so as this late the car parking you get will not be a 2 minute walk to the circuit.

All car parks, with the exception of dedicated motor-home parks, are currently available from the ACO on-line.

We have a Flat we're renting 30 minutes north of Le Mans and we'll have a van so we need to get a parking pass.

Best to go onto the ACO web site then and order one for collection, then drive to the museum let someone out of the car whilst in the traffic jams then when they get back to the car head to the car park, best car park for you will probably be rouge
