Mod Prod 1400cc Gearboxes

Question on gearboxes...
have a 106 XSI and am wondering what gearbox would be best to fit for hill climb. Quaife do a close ratio kit with ATB but im wondering what everyone else is running, dog boxes? sev dev's?

thanks in advance guys.

not at the moment but it will be one day. We did plan on getting the current power down to the ground better first then build on it.

Theres a guy running a mini over here which uses a dog box with an lsd but thats around 170bhp...

Im not too up with cars and gearboxes but I got told a while ago, best get the car set-up for handling first then get the power and gearbox sorted out. Think an LSD would be alright for the moment then get the engine and box sorted later...

cheers for that martin, yes the setup will be sorted first...no point in traveling quick if you career off at the first corner. however, i think id have the g'box in after id sorted the handling and weight, but before i started tuning in anger. LSD(or ATB) would go in asap anyway to be honest. the question still remains, do you go for a dog box or just have the Quaife close ratio kit installed?
