2004 Protototype regs.
The 2004 prototypes will have a higher front splitter to make the cars less pitch sensitive and liable to flip. They will also have scalloping along the sides on the bodywork, similar to the Allard Group C seen on this forun but less extreme, to make the cars less aerodynamically efficient.
The cars will also have double rollhoops, which in the proposed Piper design is in fact 2 single rollhoops side by side. The back of the cockpit will also extend further back, it looks like the Panoz LMP07, to protect the driver in the event of rollhoop failure. The car will also have 'very' large wing endplates that seen twice the size of those on the Audi going all the way down to the bottom of the car were it appears to join with the diffuser. All in all the car looks very nice. It looks like an LMP07 with a proper 2 seater cockpit with large rear wing. |
