I just noticed, during Speed's review of the race, that the right side of the Pescarolo Peugeot's cockpit was actually compromised. It seems that it basically ripped off the lower half of the door as I could actually see into the cockpit while the car was on the crane.
Pescarolo however say that they've talked to Treluyer and he's OK. |

Off Le Mans website:
"During Darren Law's stint, and under the Safety Car situation, it appears that the car went straight through the Playstation chicane. The Flying Lizard Motorsport Porsche is badly damaged. The impact was so strong that many tyres from the tyre wall were spread on the track. The marshals are clearing up the mess. In 31st overall and 6th in LM GT2 before the accident, it's not yet certain if Darren Law will be able to make it to the chequered flag. " Tom. |

bit early for this but will Peugeot risk a 1-2 and have a fight to the end?
doing 27s when a cruisy 3.30 would seem enough. |

If Flying Lizard's out, that leaves only the #76 IMSA for Porsche to try and fight off all 10 Ferraris...

Ah, it seems the #75's stop-go penalty was for ignoring the red light at the end of pit lane during the safety car.

#14 was having gearbox problems, #15 needed front axle repairs after offroading.

Kolles seems to have had a c*appy half hour or so, both cars have really fallen off now, not sure why.
edit: 359 beat me to it, stilll unfortunate because they were running well. |

Per Le Mans timing, here's all official retirements:
#17 Pescarolo Peugeot #80 Flying Lizard Porsche #89 Hankook-Farnbacher Porsche #6 LNT Ginetta-Zytek #2 Audi #41 GAC Zytek #70 IMSA Performance Porsche #72 Luc Alphand Corvette #40 Quifel ASM Ginetta-Zytek #77 Felbermayr Proton Porsche #68 JLOC Lamborghini And I don't think there's any hope for the #26 Bruneau Radical to be officially classified at the end. It's 157 laps down. Since I'm here, here's some further times for the leaderboards. I'm still waiting for the Lola Astons and lead Oreca to fall off, and Kolles #14 can rebound as Lotterer is running faster than all of the cars in front of him with the exception of 008

I have now been up since 6:30 AM EST with about 3 hours of sleep and now its 1 AM EST. I am pretty dead right now. Here's to all the people pushing through to make it for the full 24 hours!
I am not sure I'm gonna make it! |

ACO lists the #10 Oreca as retired because they've damaged the extractor (eh?) and have no more spares. Which probably means the #11 could be in trouble too.

I woke up at 8:30 est with about 6 hours of sleep. I feel pretty fresh. I think I can make it. Also, Gene didn't have a visor or glasses to deal with the sun, that could explain why his pace dropped off |
