LMES test days 1st/2nd April at Paul Ricard.
I thought it would be useful to have a dedicated thread ready for the test days. The list of cars attending can be found here courtesy of Planetlemans.com.

With so may new cars involved this should be a fascinating 48 hours which I am sure will throw up a few surprises and provoke some lively discussion.

Note that the LMES website mentions the tests lap times... let's hope they'll post soon...

Pescarolo quickest after the morning session from the Factory Zytek, Oreca Audi, Creation DBA, Jim Gainer Dome then the RML Lola. Courage C60H (looks beautiful!) had a few technical problems. Full details and times are on DSC.

The Courage from the side by Eric Fabre (the back of the hybrids is not very elegant, IMHO)...

Is the difference in lap time large? Or are they very close?

How about LMP2 cars?

How good it is to see two cars ahead of an Audi...

There should be more to come from the Creation car, though...

Acording to DSC they have had a few problems with their setup. Oversteer on identical settings which produced slight understeer when they tested two weeks ago! Their 24 hour test which was due to start at 13:00 has subsequently been put back. They need to start by 17:00!

Does anyone know if the paint job on the C60 is a paint job , or just the way the sun is reflecting off of it ? It looks like paint to me !!!

I think the rear of the new reg cars look awsome.

Love all of the rear defussers and the like.

Glad to see the hybrids are up their with the quickest 'LMP675' Zyteks/DBAs.

Looks like the Audis could struggle!

Anyone have times from previous years, i.e when the Bently EXP 8 and Veloqux Audis tested their.

Would be interesting to compare the times of the hybrids with 2003/2004 spec LMP900/LMGTPs.

DSC has posted fastest lap times as of 17:30.

Less than a second seperates the Pescarolo, Factory Zytek and Creation (in that order). Courage 4th fastest and Oreca 5th.
