Ah no Monsieur, delta and I are not at Paul Ricard malheurusement. I am tripping around Portugal at the moment then a 10 day hike in the UK. Straight afterwards I am heading home Australia well satisfied with my racing Adventure.

I imagine anyone travelling (and possibly staying overnight, etc, to see the Goodwood FoS today will be a bit miffed that its been cancelled because of high winds........


It seems they may get a refund for the tickets, however.....

I don't know whether others have noticed this, but recently many TV programs featuring vehicles being driven on British roads appear to be driven on the wrong side of the road even though the driver is shown in the right hand seat. So you have right hand cars driving on British roads yet the traffic is as though the filming was on the Continent even though it's definitely not.

These shots only last for a few moments before reverting to normal but through a different camera. Oh, I should say that this only happens when filming with on board cameras. Really confusing.

Depending on what was being driven R or LHD or in the UK or continent, some shots might well have been taken by the driver with a phone. In that case the image is reversed and may not have been altered in editing ? just a thought

I'd noticed that although you get it quite a lot on Youtube and FB videos they just seem to be uploaded back to front.

I would agree with portrait videos, unless it is an actual portrait of course.
I have a friend in Spain that films bands (like me) that does occasionally use that mode when making publicity films that can work, as people open their camera that way.

I wonder if anyone can spot the source of the clunk from my Sprinter front suspension. Brand new strut mount fitted just a month ago by our local MOT garage. Ripped through by a pothole on our woefully maintained roads.

More sub standard parts I presume. IDK if it was Mercedes or aftermarket, it's just rubbish.

New scam today , came by E mail.
Seems to come from E Bay , detailing £1350 odd spent on new I phone .
Claims delivered, and account will be charged as E Bay transaction .
All looks real , detailed , and finishes up with number to call .

Bank had not heard of this one before so I sent copy to their Phishing office and to Gov.UK phishing dept .

Tel, I have had things like that that but of course you have to check your PayPal account to make sure ! I very rarely take any notice of emails and delete just about anything, I think if someone wants to contact me they will be able to find me !
I had two today, one saying that a parcel is waiting to be delivered so just click on this link to check if we have the correct address. I am not expecting anything at all. The other one asked me to tax one of my cars, seeing that I actually taxed it (with confirmation from DVLA 3 weeks ago) I just sent it to the bin.

You are right Gordon , the amount of scam stuff about now is amazing .
One basic rule is never click on anything in an Email unless you are totally sure of what is , even if you think it might have a name of someone you know .
And most of the Phishing type ones want you to phone them when they will try to get your details , including bank accounts .

So be careful everybody , they want your money .

Agree that "some" scammers are not that clever, however there are others that will try email addresses that "can" look the same at first until you have enlarged it and had a closer look !

Obviously I have just made that as an example of what can easily happen. If it was in small print (like it is on emails) it is easy to miss and is a different email address to the top one as the "a" is in a slightly different case.

Yep, sure its easy to miss! I've been recently "caught" by an email sent from Gendarmerie (sorry for the french name) stating that I had a appointment during which I'll have to respond about criminal activities on the Net. Looked very genuine. I'm now much more careful -about this kind of email and not about my activities!- and thoroughly check on the web if other people have receive the same. Over the years and months, it seems that scammers are improving and the mail addresses look more and more authentic.
