Superb LMP2 action, Burgueño vs Barbosa.

Wow, Rollcentre Radical just went off in to the gravel while attempting to overtake the P2 lead. Apparently the ASM Lola made contact after moving through some lapped Traffic. Huge disappointment for Rollcentre

Certainly, as fast as Erdos and Barbosa.

I need to look again at that contact on the TV replay, there was quite some tension between the ASM and the Rollcentre teams both at podium and press conference. I fond it really awful for Martin, he seems to be pursued by bad luck even when he has the speed and endurance to win outright. The development of the Radical has been clear and solid, now we need fortune to smile on Martin and Joao and score that elusive first win for the SR9 !!!!

Not totally Radical - YET

A SR9 led the P2 class at the begining and for most of the middle, it`s just the end we have to master. Now the AER car has some miles on it we will sort the set up out on a seven post rig and then I think we will have a race on our hands. Donington looks like being fun. The first round or the Radical World Cup will support the LMS, so it could be worth a trip. Come and visit use in the paddock. All details on our web site.

Has the car had any running at Donington (or will it have)?

No, the SR9`s have not tested at Donington. I don`t know the teams plans yet. Craner Curves is flat in sixth, interesting!

i must admit i was very pleasently surprised with the pace the
courage LC70's showed this weekend they were hugely quick definetely more than a match for the pescarolo's now possibly those cars cars could become faster and really be a very large fly in audi's ointment next year and i must admit even with good drivers the zytek is not as quick as i thought it would be and the car is erm quite unreliable.

but the zytek as well as the courage remains one of my favorite cars on the grid this year hopefully i will be able to make it to donington park in a month's time to cheer on the zytek team and also the courage competition team but im unsure what the race will be like at donington i seem to recall they had problems in the past with these LMP1 cars because of their size and not being able to get their power down or was that because of a silverstone day?

Looking forward to Donington, along with Spa it should be the stand out race.

I've seen FIA GT races, ELMS, and Group C (on video) at the track, and there are problems passing, but then again it is an endurance race and a bunched up P1/2 field lapping the GT's should be fun to watch.

Looking forward to the Radical World cup also.

Flat in Sixth.
Well I've done flat in 4th, but not in anything that quick and it wasn't best!

Anyway I was hoping you'd have a bit of local knowledge to bolster your efforts.

Are you hoping for a nice hot and dry race, or do you think you may get an advantage from unseasonal weather. Cold? Wet? Although that might not help flat in 6th!

I really enjoyed this round. It would be a real loss if Pescarolo will not be around next year. Their performance was once again flawless, well deserved champs. It is a shame the LMP2 ended in the way it did. Rollcentre really deserved the break after starting from the back and suffering from gearbox issues throughout the race.

I have just read your history of the SR9 project and congratulate you on your perception (appart from the six cylinder manual gearbox comment).
May be we should get together when I write the book on Radical.
I`ve come up with the title `Bruntinthorpe to Le Mans`

Hey Radicalmick ..... i thought you said before that the works car might be red ?

Congradulations on building a nice little car that goes like stink ..... and it has a nice rear end on it too

Ofbeat question . Up too a few years ago , chassis were mainly made from aluminium . What spec aluminium was used ..... like 7075 or 2024 ?

Its just that i have read a lot about various chassis construction but it never mentions what spec aluminium is used ?

Thanks

Ger
