Why is the best sounding car in LMS/Le Mans, the Lambo,so slow?
So why is that? I mean, lots of money has gone in to this project allready, they have a class A testdriver in Peter Kox but still there's no real progression...

Its not slow ..... I won a couple races last year I think , Fia gt ?
Probably doesnt have the level of development & testing like AMR through Prodrive , Corvette through Pratt & Miller and Saleen through Oreca . Reiter is doing it by himself as far as I know . |

The JLOC entry was never going to be as fast as the Reiter car, so that's why it was slower at Le Mans.

But this years entry basically is a Reiter car is it not? Therefore it should have the latest bits on it...

It's heavy, aerodynamically compromised, and converted from 4wd.
and peter kox is indeed class A |

Not sure about the aero side. I know it has a dispensation to run a different rear wing, but the rest of the package shouldn't be too bad. Lack of 4WD shouldn't be an issue either on the geometry or powertrain side. I run a Gallardo GT3 which still has the road car engine position, yet that doesn't affect the set-up much. |

'Cos it sounds sooo cool, it doesn't NEED to go fast to attract attention, just like your favourite chav cruising down at Tesco's

Now here's some good reading after todays practicesessions at Spa-francorchamps: "The IPB Spartak Racing Lamborghini Murcielago was fastest in the GT1 category. Lapping the track in 2:17.053 the Lamborghini was 3.3 seconds quicker than its rivals." (with regards to PlanetLeMans.com)
O.K.,it's only the practicesessions yet,but that's less then 1,5 slower then the so far best set time of one of the C6-R's! @Speedblood, Now THAT would be a great murge! |

Peter Kox loves Spa,I think that made big difference.
That Lambo is quite reliable,if those Corvette's and Astons mess up to much, there might even be a podium finish! |

that's middle of the pack, ie quite average (just wish we could have more cars to compare to) |

Against weak opposition, Peter did himself proud.
The car and team were OK, I guess, but that was 80% kox. |
