My mistake. I meant pushing it back a whole year keeps it in line with other tournaments, and doesn't impact the biennial nature.

It has to deconflict with the majors, and have a full order of merit to establish the teams.

Bit of good news I think. Paul Ricard announced it will be open for spectators for the ELMS and Dix Mille Tours in July.

Today local newspaper LexMaine Livre announces that almost surely the drivers parade will be cancelled.

Well with the friday schedule including cars on the track, unless they are remotely driven the drivers will be else where so drivers parade would be rather short of drivers.

I remember trying to get an autograph from Patrick Dempsey a few years ago. No social distancing happening there

Indy 500 still planning to run with fans but aiming for a 50% reduction in numbers to a sold out gate. So around 170,000 or so fans possibly.

I imagine percentage-wise there are far less foreign fans at Indy then would make the trip to Le Mans. Not that America seems to have much of a handle on COVID.

Already decided against visiting Indy 500 this year, and have cancelled/postponed all my orders/reservations.

Starting to have big doubts about next year now, though. USA starting to look like the '50s. And I mean the 1350s
