LMP1 vs LMP900 Power

All things being equal are there any figures on what a new reg LMP1 car will be producing, power wise as opposed to an old reg LMP900.

The old LMP900's have a 15% smaller restrictor compared to an LMP1 after the 10% cut in 2003, and a further 5% cut in 2005.

About the same I guess.
I get confused with restrictors. I remember the 10% cut, but I thought they put it back to how it used to be for '04? Then in '05 another 5%?
So net 5% cut from '02?
I reckon then outputs should be virtually the same, allowing from progress getting more power from the engine anyway.
So what does that mean in real figures, probably 580-620hp ish?

No the 'old' LMP900's have 15% smaller restrictors than 2002 (10% 2003 + 5% 2005), and will produce around 540-570bhp, IMO.

Th new LMP1 cars have the same restrictors as in 2002 so should put out around 640+bhp.

LMP2 should have around 520-540BHP.

i would suspect the power advantage to the hybrids and LMP1s to be somewhere on the order of 60-100 HP depending on the application...

you also have to take into account the effect of the added ballast on the LMP900 cars as well
