DTM at Hockenhiem.

Hello tracksiders!

Yes, it's that time of year again. Time for me to start making my travel arrangements and fretting over tickets and whatnot.

One of my three (hopefully!) European trips this year will be the second DTM race at Hockenhiem, in October. I was hoping to get the usual advice on campsites, tickets and whatnot...

I see tickets are selling quite well already, and there dosen't seem to be an option for general admission. I'd rather have a grandstand seat anyway, but would I get away with getting a weekend one at the gate I wonder? I think I'll try and book one in advance this time so I can choose a seat.

Anyone camped at/near the track for the DTM? How were the prices, facilities etc?

Any help always appreciated!

there is no general admission at hockenheim. not for the dtm, anyway - there's no banking viewing opportunities like at silverstone for example.

the bronze seats in the arena bit are still great for views, there's nothing wrong with them at all. it's worth a walk along the path the old circuit was on, it's got a definite atmosphere about it

I haven't been to Eunuchenheim since it was cut down and most likely won't go there again.
Usually, the second DTM race at the circuit was sold out as it was the season final until last year when the final race was moved to Shanghai. So I am not sure which impact this has on the sales but last year it looked rather empty on the backside.Bronze Ticket is good enough, I agree with Bella.
