Walden Motorsport - No go in 07! (Merged)

Hey all, does anyone know the link for the Walden Motorsport site? Cause I've been looking for hours and hours and have found nothing. Also, are they going to run a VZ this season or a VE?

On the contrary - these guys have a monopoly, as Ross and his boys are only a few K's from me in Newcastle now, they have an oppotunity to get monies from the NSW Tourism department - a rather enviable position!

There is a website for the Mini class Mr Walden Sr is involved with, whether they will create a site might be dependent on Kelvinmonster's mood after his 'vacation'

Either PMM or PWR as it was sourced in QLD.

Supposedly PWR. Don't know what car it is though.

I think GTRMagic clarified this some time ago - it's a Kees Weel car.

I'm guessing it may not see much track time in the main series in 07 as proposed.

Now I have been told that the Waldens have purchased the ex Porter transporter, which is a little confusing as I know someone else who has an agreement to buy said transporter.
Anyone know whats going on????

Did they also buy all of the equipment that goes with it? Porter certainly had the best looking Development Series team and Walden's team would need most, or all, of what he had. Then again, it might be better to hang on to your $$ until the Kelvinator made a decision...

Lets hope Kelvin asks the same question , where is all this money coming from, they couldn't fund the $$$$ to run development series, yet buy a level 2 license and car and transporter and and and, they do not have engineer, data etc personnel, they have nothing. Look Garth nice kid but thats where it ends!
Baps got the $$$ if Paul does not want to drive fine, but there are so many talented guys who could do justice to this seat and Bap's money.

The best i can see Garth running is around 25th. They are not in the same class as 95% of the other teams. I said before they should have been in the development series and ran a good campaign there. IMHO though they would be midfielders at best there too.

I think it comes down to sponsorship dollars. Large corporates would find it better value to spend 3mill getting good TV coverage etc vs spending 1 mill getting what the development series gets. For the record I don't think we have seen enough of him in a competitive car with a big budgets to say whether his skill level is up there.

25th Does that mean he will be racing with Murph for a place?

If you thought about this a little bit... I am wondering whether this franchise licence slot is the vehicle (haha) to see Mr Marshall return to the driving seat.

But where he will be running he will not be getting good TV coverage, and probably not any coverage.
I am not saying the kid can't drive, what I am saying though is the team are not up to this level.

I got a bit more info on what is happening with the trailer. It isnt sold as yet, there are 4 offers in on it. Waldens have apparently purchased an engine , gearbox, pit boom and all the spare panels from Porters team. They have an offer in on the trailer.

This could make sense. Has anything official come out about the permitted budget for a 3-car team? Running this car in this way might be a better idea than the previously suggested 3-car PWR team. They would have to be careful how they arranged the sponsors for it - running "No Limit" as major sponsor might make it a bit obvious!
