Pescarolo seems set to return. The R10, and all diesels, will be pegged back to petrol performance levels so no issue there. |

re: Pescarolo
Their plan (if it goes forward) has not been to design and build a new car at all. Indeed they are planning on doing only what needs to be done for the car to be legal. They will design a new tub and frontal crash structure which will mate to the existing bodywork of the old modified C60's. I believe this is also why there was a story about Pescarolo selling upgrade packages for C60 and C65 cars. If they design a new tub, it should be able to work with the older courage chassis with very small modifications. |

I'd go with 2 cars for Creation .
Maybe an Audi R10 for Oreca ..... just my guess is all . Something was said about that by De Chaunac . Possibily just his wish . Balfe Saleen S7R , with mods . Maybe Konrad will be back with a "newer" Saleen , I hope . The Peugeot thing will certainly leave some seats open in other places . Wouldnt surprise me to see a C5R or 2 still around . |

Can anyone please explain why Marcos is not racing in the Fia GT or LMS ? Is it a homologation issue ?

Regarding the LM600 these cars are too old - and too wide to fit current GT1-regulations.
Regarding the Mantis this is out of production too their latests street car (TSO) has not being converted to race versions. I´m unsure about the status of the production... |

And the TSO of course is built by an entirely different concern than the original Marcos GT cars

"The ACO has confirmed the dates for the 2007 24 Hours of Le Mans. Sticking on the traditional weekends, the 75th annual twice-around-the-clock marathon in France will be held on June 16th-17th while the Test Day will occur two weeks earlier on June 3rd. 55 cars will be able to start next year, as work is being carried out to expand the pitlane.
The ACO has also stated that the Le Mans Series schedule will feature five European rounds while the American Le Mans Series will have ten races in 2007. The ALMS schedule is expected to be released on September 29th at Road Atlanta during the Petit Le Mans presented by Mazda CX-7 weekend. " |

I hope one day Cor Euser, Herman Buurman and Wim Noorman (Eurotech) decide to develop a GT2 (and GT3) racing version of the Marcos TSO GT2. If I am correct Buurman has still close links to the current Marcos company (his son has 'Marcos' on his British F3 car). Last edited by FIRE; 16 Sep 2006 at 14:39. |

How many C65's are there?
Don't forget there are a couple in the US that could benefit from the Pescrolo treatment. |

Well I'll be........
Just read on DSC that Lister have invested in a new LMP1 chassis for 2007 (which the Team claim will take them back to the front of the grid and give them the potential to win races). The identity of the manufacturer (when it becomes known) will be a surprise and the chassis will not be fitted with the GM-derived Lister V8. |

Also just read on DSC about the upgrading of the pitlane and the revision of the 'bus stop' at Spa. The works will not be completed until mid May which means the LMS race will be after Le Mans, probably in September 2007.

Is there any reason why a C65 couldn't be upgraded to Pescarolo P1 spec (2007), seeing as the original tubs are both C60 based. I've read Pescarolo produce all their own suspension, bodywork these days, the tub is the final step. |
