CTCRC at Snetteron this Saturday 21 Aug
We are supporting the 24 Hour 2CV event so get down there to watch some proper racing as well. All club championships will be on except the Classic and Historic Pre 66's who recon the track is too long for them (bless) The Classic Thunder/Boss Fords will be out in full, Pre 93's, Group 1 (I will bring the Chevy out for that one and Cliff Ryan is entering his XJS) and Post Historics the last two having double headers so plenty of action I am sure.

The Corolla SHOULD be out, subject to Cosworth sending my ECU back.
The diff is now helicoiled with larger diameter longer bolts so hopefully is won't fall in half again! The rear crank seal is now a £50 PTFE lined item and we have fiddled with the breather system as recommended by Joss' guys and fiddled with the sump to make it more like the Formula Atlantics. So hopefully the engine won't leak. And the hydraulic clutch release bearing is now clear of the clutch cover so hopefully the clutch won't slip. The engine still isn't fully mapped and I still am not certain whats wrong with the TPS (but have a pretty good idea) but I need the practice! |

Denis - a man after my own heart - testing in qualifying, setting up in the race!!
Sadly that doesn't work with that ruddy Belmont. Hope to get some tyres for it soon. |

Got the ECU back with a clean bill of health from Cosworth. Been over it's data logging and am pretty sure I know what the TPS problem is. Another thing to test in practise and then the race!
Saw you on the look out for tyres Rob, any luck? |

Just got back from a great days racing at Snetterton, I beat Al in the first race and he beat me in the second race after a very close and clean fight for the whole race
Al didn't have his camera in his car for the first race but did for the second and I'm sure will be posting the video later. Thanks to all the officials & marshalls, from black XJS no 41 in Group One and my son Daniel in the white Escort Mexico no 43 in Post Historic |

Nothing wrong with the camera & settings Denis and as for the engine and sequential g/b - superb. Sorry you didn't make the race. |
