Courtney fastest?
According to another Forum, Courtney was half a second faster in testing at QR yesterday. Rusty was second. SBR, DJR, WPS, Morris, Radisich and Cruikshank were all there yesterday.

I'd be interested in the times if anyone has them.

V8 Central Forums claim he was the fastest by over half a second.
Then someone here said he was nowhere near Russell's times? Strange...? |

I think it's great the Winton teams provided some info on the tests. Hopefully the QLD teams will do the same

If he was half a second quicker than Ingall then he got down to a 1:11.0

That is a good thing to see JC top the time sheets, lets hope he can keep up the momentum for the Clipsal. Well done JC.

I havnt heard all of the times but I know JC was timed in the mid 1:10's which is very good for a 'Rookie' driver in a brand new car driving at QR for the first time.....

SBR have announced the time themselves Here
I hope the TEGA tests are timed professionally and the laptimes shown like a race meeting. The challenge to that of course is making sure who is in the car when the times are set... |

I was out there from 11.00 to 2.00 and it was hot hot hot. If JC got down to 1.10s in that heat I would be very surprised. He said he made a mistake on his good tyre run and lost a couple of tenths. WPS were not out there and I don't think Paul Cruikshank Racing was either. There was 12 cars there and at one stage there was 11 on the track at once. It was like being at a round. I was there when Seto was fanging around and he didn't look that flash. Locking brakes and over reving the engine on the down shifts. Compaired to when Ingall was driving it the car didn't sound that great with Seton behind the wheel. All in all good fun for me.

Courtney did his best lap times on fresh tyres where as Rusty had his fresh tyre laps spoilt by a car that had left oil on the track. Up till then Russel had been on very second hand tyres. Still not a bad effort for a rookie, heres hoping the momentum continues

Those times must be right if another forum said so! Does anyone posting here really know? I clocked a few laps with the stopwatch on my phone but I haven't posted any of them because who knows exactly with a hand held stopwatch. Unless someone here has access to the teams timing records and can prove the times then it is all stopwatch and hearsay. Come on surprise me some more.

Why are you all questioning this?
The SBR website at the link shown earlier in the thread shows that JC's FTD was a 1:10.686 while Russell's best was 1:11.163. No news on Mr Seton's speed so I presume it wasnt that flash |

I know James & Ingall are the drivers & everyone wants to hear want they have to say, but considering it was Seto first time behind the wheel of an SBR falcon, a few words from him would have been nice. And where teams given brand, brand new tyres to test on?? that is a first, or do they mean "good, used tyres"?? |
