TVR go into Europe
Works TVR teams could appear in Europe next year. Plans have started for a works effort in the FIA GT championship and to contest Le Mans. The Tuscan R could race in europe depending on how the FIA class TVR. A small firm and TVR have to build only 25 road versions, a big firm and they must make 100, as BMW had to do to get the sanctions lifted on their M3. Hopefully they will get the go-ahead, but it will be sad to lose the Speed 12 should they decide to end that programme to run the Tuscan.

Looking at the changes in the British GT series for next year it seems that the end of the Speed 12 is nearing, at least there. Pink69, where do have your information concerning an assault on the FIA championship from ? That could be interesting. They already anounced the "option" to be at LM next year.

TVR at Lemans would be great, there are an awful lot of TVR's already attending so they can guarantee very enthusiastic support.

i would love to see a tuscan in fia. sadly though it does look like the speed 12 has come to an end. unless.....the brdc has a clause saying that if 60% of entrants for next year are gt spec they will run gt and gto, hopefully we will see the speed 12 next season. however it does look more and more like we will see gto and gt cup. this isnt bad tho is it? with potential carrs from audi, vauxhall, bmw, mercedes, lotus it could be good close racing with very full grids. which cant be bad!

Peter wheeler says he wants to enter LM but nothing is in place or decided yet. Apparantly the support Morgan recieved at LM this year has contributed to his desire for TVR to return to LM.
If TVR is classed as a small manufactuer by the ACO they will only need to produce 25 road cars for ACO competition (LM/ALM/ELMS). If not they will have to produce 100 cars. The Cerbera that competed in the Spa 24 Hours recentley had a lot of TVR support. |

Somehow I think we WILL see a TVR on the grid at Le Mans next year - I belive this because the ACO like a good mix of cars in a class, over the last couple of years GTO has been made up of mainly of Porsches, and it would be nice to see several different makes in the class.
So I think next years GTO class will have entries from Porsche, Ferrari, Morgan, MG, TVR and maybe we will possible see the Spyker again |

It would be good to see TVR in the FIA GT series in 2003.

I think the Spker will be the best GT car once the restrictions come off. Its basically an out and out race car now. They say they want to run 2 works cars next year and plan to sell customer cars as well.
GT after a few years of Porsche dominance is now realy expanding and getting some variety. |
