dmn 2010
Having just read motoring news about the class shake up for 2010 can any one explaine to me that the class structure is fairer.
The way i read it class e will now enjoy pinto escorts upto 2litre and multivalve upto 1600. I look forward to all your responses. |

Most of the class e minis are quicker than the escorts anyway. The article doesn't make it clear whether Bill's going to be in class C or D now though,I know that under the rules for 2010 it's D but the writer says C

I would think all of the class D Escorts, the Sierra plus Graham Richardsons' Nova Andy Pipe will also be back out, apart from effectively deleting the old class E (Mini) class as far as I can work out the main change to the rules for 2010 is for the bigger engined/turboed class B+C cars.

Well this is quieter than I thought it would have been...so far! I'm not getting involved too much in this discussion as I have NO idea what i'm talking about. I'm sure those in the know will be along shortly.

If all goes to plan, I am back out. I think the minis are just as quick, if not quicker as the escorts and such at some circuits and vice versa

For 2010 the BARC will move cars up a class 'where they feature heavy modification' but basically because he's too damn quick. I guess they are looking for the elusive 'level playing field' which is no bad thing. |

vehicles with multivalve cylinderheads other than mass production ones as fitted on a factory assembly line, i.e for fords pintos warrier and holbay, for a series engines jack night and KAD heads a 50% multiplication factor will be applied to othe engine capacity,
this is the same rule currently applied to sequential gearboxes and will also be extende tp apply to cars running center lock wheels |

Should someone be brave enough to fit one of the BMW K1100 heads to the A series Block, would the same rule apply ? |
