Come on mr.v - Hill saw Schumacher rejoining the circuit - and there was absolutely no reason for him to take a wild dive - Schumacher was barely even moving when Hill went for a rash, ill advised, over taking move. Surely, he could tell that Schumacher was in big trouble - and if he would have waited for 1 second - he would have easily breezed past him. Schumacher wasnt even on the throttle by the looks of it.
Hill probably thought that was his only chance at getting past and he was nervous. Come to think of it, Schumacher always did make Damon nervous didnt he? The British Grand Prix is a perfect example of what preassure can do to Hill. At worst - its a 50/50 - but you sure cant blame Schumacher 100% for that one. Blame him for Jerez cos that was absolutely blatant but 94 on the other hand was simply a case of good ol Damon blowing another chance. |

Whew! that's a relief!
http://www.itv-f1.com/news/news_story/10128
"JPM IN THE CLEAR 2002-04-13 17:37:00 Juan Pablo Montoya will escape sanction for his outspoken Brazilian GP comments. The Colombian was furious with Michael Schumacher following their clash at Interlagos and Montoya said he would not fight fair with the Ferrari driver in the future. Drivers can be fined or banned by the FIA if they are found guilty of bringing the sport into disrepute. But FIA President Max Mosley has said that Montoya is in the clear. Mosley said: "We try not to get involved unless someone really tries to damage the sport. We've only had two instances of that during my presidency." _________________________________ Well, King Salomon has spoken, all is fine and fair in F1 land |

I know one is obviously Jerez '97, what's the other one? I assume it's not Adelaide '94 because otherwise something would have been done about it

Oooooh, Adelaid 94, that brings back some memories.
For me personally, the issue is not whether or not Damon was to impatient in trying to overtake the Schu but whether or not it was a blatant attempt on the Schu to take out Hill and win the WDC, and, IMO, the answer to that would be yes. And if such is the case, would it have made any difference WHEN Hill tried to get past?, or would TGF only have done the same thing. |

Well, once Jacques was sanctioned for making remarks that Max 'n' Bernie deemed "bringing the sport into disrepute" which in other walks of life would be called "Telling the truth."
When Max 'n' Bernie want a driver's opinion, they will write it out for him and he'd better read it just as it appears on the page. As for me, I can't decide which is more laughable, the debate about whether TGF cheats or the fact that JPM thinks somebody is going to stop him. |

UNBELIEVABLE
This is incredible, that even a thread about Max Mosley's attitude towards the appointment of Stewards for a circus would end up as an anti-MSch bun fight.
I suppose the Alex Yoong thread will, inevitably end up being an anti-MSch discussion How about turning this into an anti-Bombay Naz thread ? |

Hiya Valve Bounce !
Yah, just on here for a bit really.
Austin hasn't changed, nor would I expect him to. I can see where it would get old arguing with him as I've been there before with him, but you're never change his mind on Schumacher, rest assured. That's just ol' Austin is all. Cheers Valve :bounce: AAR |

IMO the decision by Mosley isn't right as ex-GP drivers (who are completely unbiased of course!) would be perfect to make decisions regarding penalties and other rule-enforcements rather than a bunch of nitwits who don't understand a bloody thing.
However, the FIA to even think of sanctioning JPM for his supposed 'statements of disrepute' is just ridiculous. JPM didn't actually say anything outlandish at all!! Question: how did this thread turn into another debate about Adelaide '94? |

Well it's always nice for me see the good Doc on this board. He is never afraid to speak his mind and give it to you straight, wich I would imagine is probably to much to take for some of the whiners on here.

However, as discussed with you before, there are issues, and then there are wind-ups. Whenever you discuss safety issues, I may not respond, but I do read and consider them. However, I can't go back to the raves about MSch anymore - been there, done that. Many times. Just check my earlier posts in this forum. No offence, Austin. It was just a jovial greeting for AAR. |
