Email Response

I'm just wondering WHY :confused: that I don't receive email notices when a thread that I have responded to is not brought to my attention..

Please explain..

Hmm, I'm assuming you have it as a subscribed thread? Then the answer is I don't know. :confused:

If not, go to control panel.

I shouldn't worry. I used to have the feature turned on, but I soon turned it off when I realised my mailbox was being flooded every day with e-mails about replies to subscribed threads.....

For some reason I didn't receive an email for a week but the little man in the PC is working again.

This is not the first time that I've had this complain and I'm afraid I still don't know the answer! All mail seems to be leaving here just fine - though occasionally it may be queued up and take a few minutes to get away during peak times - but it does leave reasonably quickly. Once it's been set free on to the great big world wide spiders web I'm afraid I don't know why it doesn't arrive - is there a possibility your ISP has some spam filters in place which think the updates are spam?

Well, in a way I have the same problem, but I know why.
The adress I put here is my hotmail.com account, and I've set those 'anti-spam' settings to 'high' and there is no way those e-mails from here can come to my inbox.

Craig made a small change to the 'from' addressing the other day. He hadn't spotted that the actual email address was missing which may have caused some providers to reject the mails as spam.

Hopefully that should fix some of the problems with non-reciept.
