[rF] Endurance Series SP1
Well most rFactor players probably know about Endurance Series, so i thought i would start a thread here to keep you up to date on our progress on Service Pack 1

They look amazing but why not release some of them (especially the 2 P2s) before they're all done so we can race with more than Zytek variants in P1? Because now the replacement of the R10 has already been racing for a year (and been replaced), the 908 will be gone in a few months and the Saleen is almost historic.
Fantastic job nevertheless! |

Because they are perfectionists and don't want to put something sub-standard out? I'm all for that approach, rather wait for a stunning mod than get a half baked teaser. What i have so far is superb fun already

My point exactly: the 2008 RS Spyder is definitely NOT substandard in any way, the Acura seems to have gotten there too... but we can't play with them before the Audi and the Peugeot are up to those standards and that looks like waiting another year, and then none of these cars will be raced anymore.

None of the cars are finished yet that's why. RS Spyder may be visibly finished from the few screenshots released but there are still WIP textures on it and physics and sounds to be completed, same goes for all the cars in SP1.

To be honest. I've moved on from this.
Was a brillaint mod, but tkaing over a year to release updates is a bit boring. Will just download the finished article when it's done in 2020! |

Cracking mod, ive loved it but I guess I am falling into the camp of waiting for SP1 to be released, an LMP2 Zytek physics update would'nt be a bad idea for SP1, would fit in well with the RS Spyder EVO and Acura's and Courage's. Loved the preview's of the Ferrari F430 GT2 on VirtualR btw

Ha, need I say more
The mod is the best in the game, but sadly, online its had its day. Was amazing for first few months, but unless you keep people interested they will flit away. Quality is fine, and criticism is hard to take but from the look of the forums I am far from the only one! You could charge for this mod, it's that good in my view, but I'm afraid when you ain't paying people are fickle and I have sadly found mods to play that are more popular and current. |

My main problem with Rfactor is that I cant race online because of the Uni's intolerable internet which block's the port's. If I could get online, I would almost certainly join a league that race's with this mod, played on this the other day with my old wheel now that my PC is fixed, brilliant fun but I have to learn all over again, im finding it easy peasy to drive LMP's, but difficult to drive GT car's again. Before my PC broke I was getting to be pretty damn quick in the 997 Porsche, this was until I went up against sean edwards and nightstalker and i got my arse handed to me on a plate. I would gladly pay for this mod, it really is miles better than anything else on Rfactor. It drives better, looks better and sound's better than any other mod, everything else ive driven on Rfactor since this mod has just bored me really, this mod moved the game on in R factor, that is for sure.
I guess another problem though with why not as many people play on Rfactor generally is the collapse of Race Sim Central, which has from my point of view had a big impact on the sim racing world. Coupled with the morphing of Rfactor Central into Sim Race Way, Sim Racing has changed beyond recognition community wise over the past year and a half, there is no central place to look for new mods and W.I.P's like the RSC day's. |

stephen hodges, I didnt use my forum name because I could'nt be bothered making a new profile on RF. Before my PC broke I was getting down to some quick lap time's, at Silverstone I was into the low 1:50's high 1:49's in the 997 GT3. I found a way to drive it that was wayward but produced some very quick laptimes.

Rfactorcentral is still there and very much the core for people using new mods and stuff I would also recommend nogrip and virtualr as very good, friendly and helpful sites for news mods for sim gamers. R
They also are not snotty about consoles (as many sim sites are) and because of this I ahve bought a few old console titles!! |

Virtualr is pretty damn good I must admit, if it carries on developing at the rate it is, it will almost certainly be the new RSC in no time which is not a bad thing at all. I am still of the opinion that the whole Rfactor Central issue when it got bought out, caused a massive upheavel in the sim racing community, then Race Sim Central went and it just all went tits up frankly. Things are getting better though, Virtualr is proof that is for sure.

I still use rf central, it is the main area for new mods and stuff, the problem is that its owned and run by the same peopel who run simraceway I think, so clearly they are not going to bother with it too much!!
But I think most developers dont want people playing games that theya re charged for in some way so prefer to release on rfc Simraceway is awful, enough said |
