I thought my hangover was bad...
...until I turned the telly on and saw that today of all days, I've got worse reception than Eddie Jordan at a Heinz Harold Frentzen fan club meeting
To make matters worse, the one person I know who has the magic combination of: a) Sky TV b) not abhorring F1 (my friends are weird...) has gone out for the day. I don't want to sound like a whinging spoilt brat without his TV, but...WHY TODAY?!?!?!?! What is Radio 5's coverage like these days... |

Can't you just find a pub? |

Blimey, despite spending too much time in them, I hadn't thought of that! My wonderful(!) home town ain't the sort of place to have good things like that on in a pub though..."if it ain't football or rugby, it ain't sport.."
If only I was back at uni ;( I shall endeavour to find TV coverage somehow...bad things'll happen otherwise :S |

Don't you know anyone with just a television? You don't need Sky you know! Come on! Your family, your neighbours, anybody! Pay them! You've got to see todays race!

It's atmospheric conditions causing the bad reception, so it's gonna be bad no matter where I go :'(
...however, it does seem to be clearing up a tiny tiny bit now, the picture is there for 10 second intervals, with a really really fuzzy picture and distorted sound  If this were any other sunday, the disruption to sunday morning church programmes would be most most welcome... |

Just stick a sausage in the aerial socket - that's what they did when Channel 5 first came out!

Knowlesy, what works best? Beef sausage or pork sausage? And how tall? I live in Alaska, and I need some sausage that will pick up radio waves from Europe, since Speed Channel sucks.
Or maybe I can alternate pork/beef on different ends? Maybe all beef on one side and all pork on the other, or is it best to alternate them? Cooked or uncooked? If cooked, how? Baked? Fried? Steamed? Should such an antenae have garnish as well? So much science, so little knowledge. |
