Speedy gets some media exposure!
In Auto Action this week, perennial underdog David Thexton rates a 2 page spread.
 Yes, you read right. A media story about Speedy A very humble individual, realising, recognising his limitations, and doing all he can to get better at his newly chosen vocation. Good on Speedy, with 10 people in his employ at Thexton Motor Racing, a new BA almost done and a second one on the drawing boards, his commitment to the category should not be underestimated!

I am excited...
 Go Speedy!!!Speedy will still have his online vitamins business as a sponsor on the car, but that business is expanding, and seems to be bringing fellow industry players onto the car as well. |

I wouldnt mind a PR gig... although carousing with countless grid girls, making sure I clogged my car with merchandise graft each meeting.. and making sure I never put my hand in my pocket for anything... I am not sure I could handle the culture shock

There is a Maryann Thexton who trains racehorses on the Gold Coast (and is actually a regular winner unlike Speedy). Apart from living in the same place, she also comes from New Zealand coincidentally... does anyone know if they are married/related?
Maybe Thex could get the stable to sponsor him... |

Why does he need to read it? The team is self funded so any craap that appears in the press against him is water off a duck's back because he has no sponsor to keep amused.
Other teams take the same scenario to the absolute opposite on the scale and get their panties in a bunch every time the press write any words that didnt come out of their illustrious PR machines.... |

Speedy always gets talked about, rarely in glowing terms by his peers however. Some of them have 2 views, the one they share with the world and one that remains hidden somewhere deep & dark.
For some reason #10 dont like him, and again I dont think much will change with AVESCO putting the thumb on Speedy |
