Ricardo Zonta has walked away from another huge crash this time at Monza..this is the third serious crash he has had in an F1 car that I know about..last year in practise for the Brazilian GP which sidelined him for a few races ..earlier this year when he had a huge flip over the barriers at silverstone and now at Monza..apparently he crash at the parabolica (the final turn) and slammed into the barriers backwards destroying the rear end of the BAR..he has badly bruised knees and other minor injuries but again this has got to play games with his mind a bit..I dont know what this guy has done wrong but he has had some pretty bad luck In f1...do you think he is just not up to F1 or is he just spending too much time watching his mirrors looking for that mad Canadian women who keeps following him ????

Tristan should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
LOL!

And don't forget that AMAZING flip at Spa with JV.

Another suspension failure, I hear. May be this has been why RZ has been (dare I say it) slightly dissapointing in F1. Still, either this guy is the lickiest on earth or he just has a death wish. Aliens, eh, Liz?

I had forgotten all about Spa last year...so it may seem that its not all Zonta's fault but a problem within BAR itself...should the FIA be looking into why the car keeps breaking and sending the drivers off the track at a huge rate of knots??...obviously it is a big safety concern that needs to be addressed.

From what I read on Formula1.com, it was front brake failure. He Tried to spin the car to scrub speed, smashed the rear. According to BAR the car is damaged beyond repair.

Thank God MY RICO is not damaged beyond repair! How many lives has that boy got left??????

I am beginning to think that he needs to get out of that team even if he has to go back to sports cars for awhile. That car is trying to kill him.

marcus you forgot his big crash in Brazil last year that put him out for a few races. And I wouldn't call his luck "bad"

This guy has had more big crashes in his 1.5 years of F1 than most drivers do in his carreer. I am guessing that him Sid Watkins are starting to know each other very well. I would consider going back to sportscars if I were him, one can only survive so many big crashes.

And that's not tosay that big accidents don't happen to JV either. Remeber BAR's first race? Rear wing flies off the back of his car at Melbourne. Then at Spa he has the same off as RZ.

However, that is not to say BAR has a poor saftey record - far from it. On only one occasion has there been any major injury that involved races being missed (RZ Brazil). Quite a testimony to the saftey F1 cars today.
