You are indeed! Nice to see lots of British drivers getting a fair crack at the whip. However, i do think it will be the brilliant Frenchman who actually wins the title.

Ive also realised that when Rover enters they will with most likely with two British drivers-Anthony Reid and David Leslie. The other shortlisted candidate, Simon Harrison, is also British. Still tipping Muller, though!

Do you count the Lexus in which case Kurt Luby is not British.

Les I said works driver, not privateer. Anyway this is what British Touring cars are about, more brits. Although there is one problem. No Scots!

This makes the Aussie V8 series pretty good....it has a heap of New Zealanders, a couple of Tasmanians, and even Russell Ingall was born in England....shudder...

Leslie's not racing this year, though! Reid and Warren Hughes have signed 4 MG.

The autosport site says he's an ex German STW Cup racer and MGF cup winner too. You are not alone. I couldn't have told you that if I hadn't read the news on autosport.

I see to recall Warren Hughes doing some British F3 in recent year. Don't have any specific details.

Warren has raced F3 on and off since '93 (never with enough funding, but he's always been quick), he blitzed the MGF cup in '98 and dabbled in GT's last year. A really good, quick, underated driver, I'm delighted to see him land a professional drive.

In my humble opinion, Warren Hughes was one of the greatest F3 drivers of all time. Although he's getting on a bit now, i think he should have been in F1 by this time. He just never had the funds to grab a drive in F3000 a few years ago when you needed them to run in F3000. I think he'll give some people some shocks, not least Anthony Reid!

You're quite right Craig, of course he did (for Arden Team Russia), but he did also race in the first 2 rounds of the British GT championship for Cirtek in a GT3R Porsche shared with some bloke called Cleland.
