Not actually le mans, but we got an email from Spa yesterday asking us if we wanted our 20.20 tickets, which were rolled over to 2021 to now be rolled over to 2022. lets hope Le mans happens this year

It's an interesting point this. If you're staying off site or you haven't committed choices to an agent already - I think people may pick very differently to their standard choices this year when it comes to campsites/grandstands. Assuming we can even get tickets...

I just hope the ACO have enough information about what will happen when tickets do go on sale. Although that may well not be the case.

They've shown their hand with the village format + map already. Albeit some talk in here that the concept wasn't approved despite being announced.

Well no news on tickets yet but just had an email from the ACO to announce the release of the 2021 poster, Not exactly exciting, the old alpine(rebellion) and the newish toyota

Also quite poor show from ACO to leave out Glickenhaus, the only really new entry on the top level. (Counting the Alpine as a Rebellion car run by a LMP2 team)

While I never vigorously objected to the 'Mythique' tagline as much as others I'm rather pleased that in the climate of rescheduling and running behind closed doors it seems to have been dropped.

The poster is pretty standard, but then I don’t think they needed to make a big thing of it. I think the organisers are more concerned with making sure the event goes ahead with a crowd, than a poster

It does seem like an odd choice to leave off one of the two entries fully supporting the new Hypercar class. I supposed all the GT cars could also feel a bit miffed by zero representation, but that's how it goes sometimes.

Perhaps this is a question for a different thread, but how often has a car featured on the poster won the race overall?

Danish media reports that the "third wave" is hitting the mainland Europe pretty hard right now.
Vaccines and warmer weather are the only relieve factors we have right now.

Well in mainland Europe Vaccines are sitting around going out of date while politicians squabble and the publics faith in vaccines goes further down. Shambles comes to mind.

EU simply didn't do there homework buying the vaccin, beiing slow on making the descision to buy they gave GB the chance to act fast and buy many more.

well, that isn't actually the truth... EU states, or at least the richest ones like germany, france, italy etc... made an agreement to buy a planned amount of vaccines supply on weekly/monthly base that then would had been redistributed (more or less) equally to each state according to parameters like overall population, % of most vulnerable subjects etc...
there are 2.5 big problems:
1 in late 2020 EU signed contracts on simple "trust" ordering a monthly supply without having solid assurances about realistic production rates, so the planned supplies delivered have almost always been lower and sometimes much lower than expected.
2 in many EU country regions, people is quite skeptical about vaccines, and this mood got even worse after some suspected deceases due astrazeneca vaccine of last 2 weeks, infact IT, FR, GE and other states provisionally suspended that vaccine waiting for a second EMA review. It's wierd to say but many people simply don't want to be vaccinated.
2.5 most EU countries haven't an adequate logistics for a mass vaccination.
Things are never black or white, or somebody completely good/bad on making something...

In other words, the EU screwed up. People keep using best efforts as the standard by which AZ are being held. In fact the contracts use reasonable best efforts, a significantly lesser standard in contract law.
