And Supercars shoot themselves in the foot again by removing from the broadcast someone with a great ability to translate technical stuff into something your average viewer could understand and was a bit of a character to boot.

Dumbing everything down in a race to where exactly? Do the other codes dumb stuff down as much? I mean, obviously the cricket on channel 9 was but surely no other sport suffers from this kind of stupidity as much as motorsport?

Motor racing is a technical sport. It is inherent in in its nature and one of the key attractants for it. So why ditch all that in the chase of some mythical half interested teenagers who is doubtless just off to play Call of Duty/Cyberpunk or whatever the most recent must have gaming experience is. (Probably not a racing simulation then)

Ms Crehan, love her or loathe her, I think they kind of realised they could carry on without her, during the COVID restrictions. I've always said that her medical and athletic background could have been much better utilised. When she's been able to speak freely, she's as good as anyone. Oddly, the production team had been quite content in micromanaging every aspect of her onscreen contributions, hence the muddled words, unnaturally-loaded questions, and so on.

Letting Mr Larkham go, is a mistake they obviously didn't learn from the first time. Adds a lot to the overall production, even if he has to cringingly dumb down the technical aspects to the great uneducated in the fanbase (judging by the comments on here at times, and social media, there are a lot of them).

FWIW, if I had to choose between Mr Lowndes and Mr Murphy, I'd pick Murph. 20+ years of TV experience shows.
