Is there a prize for 2nd in the Drivers and Constructors Championships?
Besides TV and award money for next year? Is there some sort of trophy or something for finishing 2nd in the Drivers and Constructors Championships? There must be. There's a pretty big fight for 2nd in both championships this year isn't there?

I know that 2nd place in the drivers' championship gets a trophy, but I'm not sure about the constructors'. The March 2000 issue of F1 Racing has some pics of the 1999 awards ceremony, where Irvine has a trophy for 2nd place. Frentzen (3rd) is there but doesn't seem to have a trophy (unless that's his trophy on the floor), and there's no sign of Ron Dennis anywhere.

Well a little off topic, but I dont see the constructors championship being very close, even for second.

Well, finishing in the top 3 of the WDC certainly deserves a reward, just like a podium at a race meet. But just like a podium, only the winning constructor gets a trophy.....
