D Besnard

What a shocker of a season.
Once again he crashes out of contention.
Can you ask your PC how many times he has failed to finish due to driver error this year RT...please

Today looked incredibly stupid IMO, both DB and to a lesser degree TK seemed to suffer from a testosterone overload, resulting in two bent cars to try and straighten before Puke a hoey.

Besnard has had a shocker of a season & has made some really bad errors, the season can't finish quick enough for him.

Maybe he should drive for Thexton, that way when he crashes again he won't be near anyone. He is hopeless, didn't he and Ambrose start at the same time. Gee I wonder who the better driver is?? Even though I'm one eyed Skaife/HRT fan well done to SBR on another great weekend, whoever is there engine builder he deserve's a bloody medal, I don't know how Ambrose managed to finish.

I think Besnard's been alright cosidering he has been hampered with that old AU. The BA is still very new to him, and he's still twice as quick as Seton.

Give him a full year with the BA next year.

Having said that, the bomb into turn 3 today was, shall we say, a touch ambitious?

PS. Wilson hasn't hit much at all this year.

He's about as useless as tits on a bull. FPR should go to 2 cars next year and just concentrate on Lowndes and Seton.

I don't think the model Ford he's driving is the reason he's driving in to people & off the road, i think it's time to give some new blood a chance at FPR.

He is new blood. If that was your argument, slow old Seton should be racing wheel chairs in a retirement village.

I didn't mean new blood in terms of age i was talking about new blood in the terms of someone different in the team, i certainly have no problems with the older generation as there are quite a few of the younger generation not covering themselves in glory.

I think its Jimmy Stone- who in a recent article they wrote he lives and breaths SBR- his life centres around improving the cars, no time for bullsh$t for Jimmy.

Not many engine problems for the in house SBR team, even Marcos" engine stood up to a hammering on 7 cylinders, a great team, the STONE BOTHERS are top operators, no fanfare , just quietly deliver the goods- WELL DONE!

As a Holden supporter, I'd rather leave bagging Ford drivers to the Ford supporters, but...

I think David Besnard needs a season in Konica to get his eye back in. Otherwise, a season back in the US could help. FPR has two great drivers in Craig Lowndes and Glenn Seton. Both are good sorters, and both are great drivers. Glenn is quick and conservative, and Craig is quick and extroverted. From what I can see, DB isn't a great car sorter, and he's quick in all the wrong places. It's a pity that Jason Bright isn't available to take DB back to the States for some intensive training.

mixxer has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
FPR Chief Engineer, John Russell - "I'm delighted for Glenn to have achieved a worthy result from a good weekend and Craig drove well to consolidate his 5th position in the Championship. Regrettably, David was involved in another avoidable incident. Credit goes to all the boys for excellent pit work this afternoon."
Quote taken from Racetime release.

Looks like Dave is under the same sort of pressure as Whincup.

From my home as I was not able to be at the track here is an armchairs view of the great Ford Goose
David Besnard is in Way over his head he has very little car control and rely's on his balls and eyesight which is not sufficient to earn the respect of those who are paying him a film stars salary
Rememeber what happened to Hugh Grant

Te he he, that press release was funny, I'm sure it will do loads for Besnard's mood after the stewards hearing he was summonded to.

BTW Does anyone have any news on the stewards enquiry into the Besnard incident?? He wasn't looking to hopeful 'bout it this afternoon before he left for it.

He finished 7th in race 1 remember he and the rest of the FRP team are still waiting for new FPR engines that were to be delivered before Sandown. All they have to run with are the engines for the old GSR racing team

He isn't eligble for the Konica series until 2005, and if the likes of Lowdnes, Bright and Ambrose couldn't get enough money to race overseas, how would Besnard, with the results he has had, get a ride in the US?

Bonehead move in the race, one of many. The best I ever saw him drive was at Lakeside/Konica '00 or '01 dicing with Wakefield. Gone downhill ever since unfortunately.

Slow old Seton? A much better steerer than 95% of the drivers in the series. Besnard better than Seton, Mac you must be simple....

Seton needed a confidence boost... Bathurst gave that to him in spades... he was back the old happy, smiling self at the weekend, and quite chuffed to be the lead FPR driver for the weekend... despite having a car that was donald ducked at Bathurst

You want to talk about legends... Seto is a legend!
