I'll edit my response on the Speedvision forum. I think this is how NASCAR intends to build their 24/7 cable channel. Also, keep in mind that Bill Jr.is undergoing cancer treatment. This could very well be the beginning of a different leadership style. The media is not as concerned as I thought they'd be. There are no "Boycott the Daytona 500" headlines. I do believe that the close G.O.B. network will clear things up for now. However, the country reporters had better get used to doing things by big city standards. The intent to control every letter, photo, video, or statement associated with NASCAR will not be easily set aside. The media will get the wording removed for this year. I would not be surprised to see an announcement concerning restricted credentials. Photographers limited to areas x-z, video restrictions in the garage areas, no interviews on pit lane and such. These restrictions can then be lifted for offical NASCAR photog, AV, and announcers, that pay a fee for their use. Boy...2 high ranking executives don't know how or who authorized the change.I suggest they look at last years contract. Media outlets may not own the property they have. |

I just read the article and it seems that the confusion and surprise by the top brass will mean that it will get scraped soon.
